nice sports comments...I need to drink a few beers with this yahoo - Al H

Hey Edwards - why don't you actually READ who sends you emails before you
comment??? - JS

Although I enjoy the witty and entertaining commentary on basketball and
football, I don't think this article should be referred to as Sports Chat with
Chris Edwards.  Sports Chat refers to discussing all sports with the exception
of all women's sports...well maybe women's tennis when Anna Kournakova plays
against Mary Pierce.  The way the article reads now it should be called
Basketball and Football Chat with Chris "I'm to Ignorant to Understand Baseball
and Hockey" Edwards.  Call the article what it is, a subjective diatribe (Chris,
diatribe means a bitter, often abusive criticism) by a man who is so insecure
with his own masculinity, he needs to secure his credibility by illustrating his
antics as a beer swilling, belching, Jeep driving, red meat eatin' wannabe.  Get
a clue!  Anyone worthy of calling themselves a real Sports Chat enthusiast and a
MAN, would have talked about one of the best brawls in baseball over the last 20
years and the 5 OT marathon that the Flyers and Pens played the other
night...but then again we're dealing with someone who has the IQ of a Q-Tip.
Chris, stick to the two sports you know about, Basketball and Football.  Leave
your unsolicited, opinionated garbage about what you think is sports at
home....real sports enthusiasts don't want to read it.

I'm a man.  I sit in the 700 level at Eagles games, I drink beer, I eat red
meat, I drive an SUV, I love all sports, but I don't have to reassure myself
about my masculinity every 5 minutes.  I admit the Phils aren't playing well,
but it's exciting to watch Curt Schilling and Randy Johnson overpower the likes
of Mark McGuire, Sammy Sosa, and Ken Griffey.  Did you watch the Flyers
yesterday, of course not.  You missed Luke Richardson firing a slapper at an
opposing player and Adam Burt face rake a weasel named Matthew Barnaby.

No bad feelings, Chris.  I think you definitely entertain and get people
talking.  Additionally, you got me fired up...good job.  But stick to what you
know and hopefully, thislink.com can procure the services of another all around
sports enthusiast to complement your column.

Regards, - A Real Sports Fan

Week 1 Feedback

Well it's about time some space was given to a man with something to say who's not some pimply geek spending hours in front of a computer.  I couldn't agree more with Mr. Edwards' insightful comments about baseball, we all know what kind of men wear only one glove......

I have to admit that I love Golf, even the few times I've played sober.  If that gets me whacked in the back of the head by Mr. Edwards,so be it, I probably deserve it, keep this man's columns coming, he's worth every dime you're paying him.
Sincerely,   Steve Weatherly

What, no insight into being a VIKING?  Keep up the good work. I'll add your link to my own web site, too (yokev.com).     - Kev

Who in the hell writes for your sports section??!!  What an a$$.   - Brian S.

I barely follow sports news, and downright despise sports gossip and armchair management discussions.  -RA

I will skip the formalities of greeting you and sucking up as you will probably like that.

You sound like a former New Yorker sports broadcaster that does the play by play for the Hornets and Sports Talk Radio in Charlotte - Gerry V (Gerry V actually commented on Chris's first offering: "...seems funny...lacks depth for me....gv")

Great comments on Baseball.... (ie. the Philles suk..... AGAIN!!!)  I quit watching years ago...when dykstra n kruk ruled.

Football - Steelers finally got a quarterback - now they can send Slash back to the minor league.  maybe XFL will pick him up !!

Basketball - Hornets beat Sixers in four! Reference game two in Charlotte - Iver who? 13 points! HA

NASCAR - I've never been so drunk!!!!!!  (great excuse to drink)   - Al H.
