SAUSAGE-STUFFED MUSHROOMS

 

Makes 25 appetizers. 

If the stuffing seems too dry, add a few drops of milk.

 

25 large mushrooms

1 pound sausage

2 tablespoons butter

2 cups soft breadcrumbs

Salt and pepper

 

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Wash and drain mushrooms. Cut off stems; set caps aside. Mince stems fine. Cook sausage until not quite browned; drain well. Saute mushroom stems

in butter. Combine breadcrumbs, sausage, and mushroom stems; mix well. Stuff

mushroom caps with mixture. Bake 25 minutes.
