Pick
a Spot to Line up Correctly
|
During your pre-shot routine, take
a minute to look at your target one more time. Now, pick out an
intermediate target on the line between your ball and your target, but
only about a foot in front of your ball. This intermediate target can be a
clump of grass, a divot, a twig, anything. After you've found this spot,
forget about your ultimate target and focus on the closer target as you
take your address position and align the club. Before swinging, take one
last glance at the pin (or whatever your ultimate target is) and then pull
the trigger. You'll quickly find that, by using an intermediate target,
your alignment will improve dramatically, especially on longer shots.
